Four Day Lockdown

Published on Monday, 28 June 2021 at 10:21:21 PM

For the next four days we are following lock down restrictions recently announced by Premier McGowan for the Perth and Peel region.

The lock down starts at 12.01am early tomorrow morning (Tuesday) and will end at 12.01am early Saturday morning. During this time:

  • Our library, customer service centre, Beatty Park Leisure Centre and the Vincent community centre will be closed.
  • Our playgrounds and Leederville Skate Park will be closed.
  • Public events are cancelled
  • Kerbside bin collections will continue as usual.

"It's not what we were hoping for and each lockdown seems more challenging. But our community and local businesses are tenacious and with strong spirit."

"Let's all do what we can to support one another and our local businesses. Stay safe and keep connected to friends, family and neighbours," said Mayor Emma Cole.

City staff will be working from home where possible in line with State Government advice. We encourage residents, ratepayers and customers to contact us via our website, email or telephone while our centres are closed.

For our local businesses, our health team are available for advice on what the latest restrictions mean for you.
