The City of Vincent is closing Beatty Park Leisure Centre, the Community Centre, the Library and all playgrounds after the State Government announced a five-day lock down to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The closures come into effect at 6pm today and will remain in place until 6pm on Friday 5 February.

Kerbside bin collections are an essential service and will continue as normal. Community members should continue to put their bins out on their collection days.

Loftus Recreation Centre will also close for five days, with all social sport competitions cancelled for the week.

All playgrounds will be closed, as well as Leederville Skate Park.

Beatty Park memberships will be automatically be suspended during the lock down period.

Help for local business owners

The five-day lock down will have a serious impact on local business owners, who have been working hard to recover from the challenges of 2020.

The City’s environmental health officers are available to provide advice to restaurant, pub and café owners who want to convert to takeaway-only venues.

It is essential for all businesses to continue to keep a mandatory visitor register and promote the use of the SafeWA app.

Contacting the City

The City will comply with the State Government’s direction for employees to work from home wherever possible and face-to-face contact will be minimised over the next five days.

Customer service and ranger support will still be available for community members.

In the first instance, please contact the City by phoning 9273 6000, emailing or through our website

The City's Annual General Meeting of Electors (AGM), which was scheduled for 5.30pm on Tuesday 2 February, will be postponed until 9 February.
